ASSESSMENT
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has implemented many changes in the assessment pattern from the academic year 2017-2018 which are listed below.
UNIFORM SYSTEM OF ASSESSMENTS (CLASSES VI to VIII)

TERM I (Classes VI to VIII)
PERIODIC ASSESSMENT (20 Marks):
- Test (10 Marks)
- Note Book Submission (5 marks)
- Subject Enrichment Activity (5 marks)
HALF YEARLY EXAMINATION (80 Marks) Course covered till the announcement of exam dates
- Periodic test (5 marks)
- Quiz/seminar/ group discussion/ ppt /assignment (5 marks)
- Class work maintence (5 marks)
- Subject enrichment activity (practicals) (5 marks)

YEARLY EXAMINATION (80 Marks): Course coverage as given below:

Class VI- 10% of First Term covering significant topics+ entire course of Second Term

All students to appear for Board Examination at the end of the academic session- entire syllabus of Class X to be assessed

80 marks- Board Examination

20 marks- Internal Assessment
P.S- Students have to secure 33% marks out of 80 in each subject (26.4 Marks)
Students have to secure 33% marks out of 20 marks in each subject (6.6 Marks)
BOARD EXAMINATION: 80 MARKS

80 Marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus.

Marks and grades both will be awarded for individual subjects.

8 Point grading system will be followed.
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT: 20 MARKS

Periodic Written test (three tests in each subject in an academic year) Average of best two tests to be taken for final marks submission-
10 marks

CBSE suggests three tests- one being MID TERM, other two being PRE MID TERM and POST MID TERM for gradient learning
5 marks

Note book submission - (can be done twice in an academic session-average/best of two can be given)
